The third SADCO Industrial Workshop will be organized by Volkswagen A.G. on January 27-28 2014 in Wolfsburg, Germany.

Agenda 

Two main speakers will open the first day workshop: Prof. Dr. John Lygeros (ETH Zürich) and Dr. Jürgen Pannek (Bundeswehruniversität München).

On both days, some VW members and SADCO members will present their research activities on safety systems and optimal control, showing both the commercial and academic side of research.

From the late morning of the second day, an interaction with the company will take place through an exhibition on driver assistance systems with driving test on road. The program will be completed by the exploration of the VW production and the Autostadt, the automotive theme park of the VW Group.

Registration

There is no admission fee for this event. Please note that this is an internal meeting. Registration is open to network members and invited participants only.

Network members and invited participants will be kindly asked to confirm their participation by filling out the REGISTRATION FORM by November 16 2013.

 

Visits

The programme includes:
- an exibition on driver assistance systems with test on road
- a guided tour in the Autostadt
- a production tour 

Participants will also be requested to choose between one of the two following activities:
- driving experience: experienced instructors will show you the routes and familiarize you with the vehicles' technical features. The trip takes about 30 minutes. Only a limited number of places is available. Places will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
- car museum: with its unmatched collection of classic cars, the ZeitHaus is the world's most-frequently visited automotive museum. The exhibits feature more than 50 different makes, along with trendsetters in design and technology that inspired drivers and served as archetypes for car manufactures.

From Berlin HBF to Wolfsburg HBF several intercity (IC) trains and high speed trains (ICE) are provided. The approximate travel time from Berlin Schönefeld Flughafen to Wolfsburg HBF is 3 to 4 hours.

From Berlin Tegel Airport: Bus TXL direction Alexanderplatz till Berlin Hauptbahnhof (Berlin HBF). From Berlin HBF to Wolfsburg HBF several intercity (IC) trains and high speed trains (ICE) are provided. The approximate travel time from Berlin Tegel Flughafen to Wolfsburg HBF is 2:30 to 3:30.
