ICIAM 2011 - Minisymposium "Efficient Numerical Methods For Hamilton-Jacobi Equations"

ICIAM 2011, July 18-22, Vancouver (Canada)

The minisymposium will present advanced numerical methods  for solving Hamilton-Jacobi equations with a particular emphasis on fast techniques. The complexity of many real problems has driven new  research directions for fast numerical methods such as fast marching, fast sweeping, parallel algorithms, domain decomposition, adaptative grid methods, patchy methods. Moreover, new ideas are needed to tackle high-dimensional problems. These new methods can open the way to more challenging problems in different fields of applications such as front propagation, control problems and games, image processing and mathematical finance.
